VIEW TRANSACTIONS
T-ACCOUNT VIEWER
  
TurboCASH reports the transactions in the General Ledger Accounts, Debtor Ledger Accounts and Creditor Ledger Accounts in the 3-column Account format. This is the format in which all computerised systems report on transactions.

The T-Account viewer allows you to view the transactions for a selected account for a specific date or a range of dates in the traditional T-Account format. This T-Account format is found in most of the manual systems and in most accounting books and course material used in Schools, Colleges, Technikons, Universities, etc. The debit transactions are displayed on the left-hand side and the credit transactions are displayed on the right-hand side.

To View Accounts with the T-Account Viewer:
Click on the Tools - T-Account Viewer menu option or press the and and keys on your keyboard. The T-Account Viewer screen will be displayed.

 

Title bar - double-click to display the screen in full size or to return to the normal size. Minimise button - click to minimise this screen. Restore button - inactive. Close button - click to close or exit this screen. Select a general ledger, debtor or creditor account. Enter a valid date or select a date using the Date picker from which you wish to include transactions. Enter a valid date or select a date using the Date picker until which you wish to include transactions. Heading - Debit, Credit and Account number and name or description of the selected account. If the selected account has any transactions before the selected (From) date, the opening balances will be displayed. The debit transactions from and until the selected dates will be listed. The credit transactions from and until the selected dates will be listed. Vertical scroll bar - move up or down to view more debit transactions from the list, if any. Vertical scroll bar - move up or down to view more credit transactions from the list, if any. The cumulative total of the opening balance (if any) and the listed debit transactions. The cumulative total of the opening balance (if any) and the listed credit transactions. The balance is the difference between the debit total and the credit total. If the credit total is more than the debit total, a credit amount will be displayed. Click to confirm your selection, Click to close or exit this screen.
Click on the button to select a General Ledger, Debtor or Creditor Account on the Accounts search or lookup facility for which you wish to view the transactions.
Enter a valid date in the From Date and To Date fields or click on the down arrow to select a date using the Date picker.
Select the next account and date or click on the or buttons to exit or close this screen.
