Using TurboCASH


The style or format of the dates as set in your Windows™ operating system will be displayed in TurboCASH. You need to select the date when you enter data (transactions etc,), generate reports, etc. The date will be reflected in the your system date format on all reports, statements, remittance advises, etc. It is recommended that you check that the date format is displayed for your specific requirements and that it is in an understandable format for the majority of your debtors (customers), creditors (suppliers) and other users of your financial information. If you are used to enter data in a specific date and you wish to display the date in another format than it is currently displayed, you may change the system date.

To Change the Date Format:
Click on the Setup - System Parameters - Company Info menu option or press the key on your keyboard. The Company Info screen will be displayed.
Click on the button.
Click on the button of the Company Info Options screen.

If the Regional Settings screen does not launch automatically when you click on the button, you need to click on the icon in the Control Panel of your Windows™ operating system to change or set the date format and the currency format.


The Regional Settings Properties screen will be displayed.
Click on the Date tab.

Click to set the correct Currency for your Country. Click to set the number of the decimals, separators, etc. if necessary. Click to set the time if your time is incorrect on your system. Click to set the correct date style or format. Enter a valid date format or select an available date format. Click to save your changes and to close this screen. If changes were made, this button will be activated. Click to save or apply your changes. Click to cancel or exit this screen without saving any changes. Check that the sample displays correctly. Title bar. Click and move the mouse to an area and click again to get the Windows help. Click to close or exit this screen.

The short date style may be displayed in any of the following formats:

Format / Style Date (e.g. 1 March 2005)
YY/MM/DD 05/03/01
DD/MM/YY 01/03/05
YYYY/MM/DD 2005/03/01
DD/MM/YYYY 01/03/2005

Check that the date format or style is displayed for your requirements. If not, you may change this date style or format in the short date field. Should you wish to set the date to be displayed as 01/03/2005 in a 4-digit year style or format, enter DD/MM/YYYY in the Short date field.
Click on the button to apply the selected date style or format, if you have changed the Short date style field.
Click on the button or click on the Currency tab if you need to check and set the Currency symbol.
