Using TurboCASH

 







SEARCH OR LOOKUP FACILITIES
BATCHES LIST SEARCH OR LOOKUP FACILITY
  
The Search Facility screen, listing all your Batches, which are posted or updated to the Ledger will automatically be displayed when the cursor is in the Use Number fields of the Batch Type Report Options or the selection fields (From and To) of the Export Posted Batches screens. The following screen will display a list of all the available posted or updated Batches and Documents:

Title bar. Close button - click to close or exit this screen. You may also press the Esc key on your keyboard. A list of all the available Batches, which have been posted or updated to the Ledger Accounts. Scroll bar - scroll to select a Batch. Code - if selected, you may type the first characters of the Batch Number. Description - if selected, you may type the first characters of the Batch Name (Alias). The arrow indicates the selected Batch.

You may select any of the available batches by batch number or by batch name. The batch name may be any of the following:
  • Batches entered in the Input - Batch Entry menu option and which is posted or updated to the ledger. TurboCASH allows you to change the alias for a batch before posting it to the Ledger. This will help you to easily identify and select the specific batch.

     

  • Documents - posted or updated to the ledger. These Documents are Invoices and Credit Notes for Debtors (Customers) and Purchase Documents Goods Returned (Supplier Returns) documents for Creditors (Suppliers)
TurboCASH includes an advanced algorithm filtering option to search for items on the lookup or search facility. You may right-click on any area of the lookup or search facility to enable or disable the filter. If the Use filter is enabled, the Use filter context menu will display a tick as follows . To disable the filter, click on the menu to remove the tick. If the filter is enabled, you may locate and select batch numbers or batch names on the lookup facilities with ease.

You may also right-click in the scroll bar to launch a context menu on which you may scroll or search for an entry on the lookup or search facility using your mouse. The options are as follows:

Scroll Here - Click to scroll to the selected entry on the list.

Top - Click to scroll to the first entry on the list.
Bottom - Click to scroll to the last entry on the list.

Page Up - Click to scroll to one page up in the viewable area.
Page Down - Click to scroll to one page down in the viewable area.

Scroll Up - Click to scroll to the top or first entry of the entries displayed in the viewable area.
Scroll Down - Click to scroll to the top or last entry of the entries displayed in the viewable area.

In addition to this search by options, the following buttons on your keyboard may also be used:

Key Description
The first entry will be displayed on the list according to Code or Description depending on the whether Code or Description is selected in the Search by field.
The last entry will be displayed on the list according to Code or Description depending on the whether Code or Description is selected in the Search by field.
The previous entry will be highlighted.
The next entry on the list will be highlighted.


If your document numbers are pre-fixed to identify the type of document, you will be able to identify these documents with ease from the Batches List.
